Nashville is the perfect spot for a girls weekend. Home of country music and honky tonks, this city makes me so happy and I loved experiencing it with my favorite girls. With live music to be heard on nearly every street corner, we danced the night away at some of the most quintessential bars and of course, T. Swift’s concert at Nissan Stadium. NASHVILLE

HOW TO SPEND YOUR TIME & MONEY

BROADWAY
girls weekend in nashville

The streets of Broadway are alive any time of the day. Lining the strip you’ll be sure to hear music coming out of every venue so it’s no wonder many flock here for some live music. Be sure to visit some of our favorites like Tootsie’s and Jason Aldean’s.

ROBERT’S WESTERN WORLD
girls weekend in nashville

Robert’s is another well-known honky tonk in Nashville. With a stage set up front for live music, the bar has hosted many up and coming country artists. The best part about Nashville is you could be listening to the next big country artist at any point in time.

TOOTSIE’S ORCHID LOUNGE

The more famous honky tonk right next to Robert’s is Tootsie’s. Located right behind the Ryman Auditorium, this bar has three levels of live music with a rooftop bar. Head upstairs for a great view of Broadway.

JASON ALDEAN’S KITCHEN + ROOFTOP BAR

If you are looking to dance and sing your heart out, Jason’s is your spot. This four level eatery has live music everywhere you walk but the real party is on the rooftop making it the perfect bar for a girls weekend in Nashville.

12SOUTH

If your girls weekend isn’t complete without a little shopping then head to 12South in Nashville. While you will find some other great areas to shop like Hillsboro, 12South has a little bit of everything. From the restaurants to shopping to the insta-famous murals. Plus, it’s home to Reese Witherspoon’s store, Draper James, so you may even run into Elle Woods herself.

LEGENDAIRY MILKSHAKE BAR

It’s no surprise that we love ice cream. So much so that we can center any day around finding the best ice cream in the city. Well, we found it at Legendairy. Their play on words is just as good as their milkshake concoctions. Just look at them!

THE DINER

Nashville is full of good food and country music. The Diner is one of those. The six-story downtown restaurant is the perfect eatery before a night on the town or before a concert. You will please anyone in your group — even the picky eaters — with each level offering a cuisine for every pallet.

LIVE MUSIC

If you leave your girls weekend in Nashville without hearing some live music then you did something wrong. Every honky-tonk will have someone or something playing, but seeing a show at the Ryman or Nissan Stadium is also a must! We saw Taylor Swift at Nissan Stadium and in true T.Swift fashion, it didn’t dissapoint. Don’t miss seeing a show at one of these iconic venues.

off Broadway Recommendations

Looking for more of a low-key time in Nashville? There is so much more to the city than the honky-tonks. For a more relaxed visit, below are some of my favorite spots that don’t include a visit to Broadway.

The Bobby Hotel

Not only is Bobby one of the coolest hotels to stay at in Nashville, the rooftop pool and bar takes it up a level. It’s the perfect amount of relaxation and fun without staying too close to the action.

The Johnny Cash Museum

Okay so this is technically near Broadway, but this place is a must for those who love country music history. I absolutely love Johnny Cash so I geeked out at the museum. It’s worth visiting if you are a fan of his music.

The Patterson House

For a laid-back but swanky spot to sip on some delicious drinks, the Patterson house is it. Located right next to the CatBird it’s equal parts intimate and lively making it perfect for pre-dinner drinks.

The Butcher & Bee

What can I say about this American eatery? The food is close to perfection. All I will say is get the avocado crispy rice. To die for.

BarTaco

Taco’s and tequila. Bartaco has perfected not only their taco’s, but the spicy margarita’s go above and beyond. Located in 12South, this Mexican restaurant is great for lunch or dinner.

Whether it’s a dancing all night or low-key foodie trip, Nashville has it all. Hope your time in Music City leaves you wanting to visit over and over again. Looking for other girls weekend ideas? Check out my guide to a bachelorette weekend in New York City.
