While the large corporations of the world dominate Black Friday and Cyber Monday, there is a new kid in town and her name is Small Business Saturday. On Nov. 28, small businesses are the star of the show and you can support them by shopping small. With many small businesses closing this year, it’s more important than ever to support them.

If you want to support some of these small businesses this Saturday but don’t know where to start, I’ve got you covered! I found some unique and absolutely amazing shops that sell travel-related gear and accessories that will make any traveler in your life happy. Check them out this Small Business Saturday on Nov. 28!

Disclosure: Some of these links are affiliate links, which means when you purchase one of these items, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. However, I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases.

LEFT COAST ORIGINAL

If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind passport holder, Left Coast Original has it. They are a family-run boutique based in Largo, Florida selling handcrafted leather passport holders. You can even personalize the passport holder making it a lifetime gift that’s hard to forget — perfect for the guy or girl in your life. Their handcrafted items range from passport holders, money clips, and even charcuterie boards.

MORGAN BAY CANDLes SHOP

I am obsessed with buying candles because certain smells remind me of a time and place. Morgan Bay Candles Shop has been able to bottle nostalgia and memories into a candle with their different city smells. I haven’t seen a concept like this since HomeSick and this small business is truly nailing it.

What started as a way to gift her friends and family a custom candle, turned into a small business. The hand-poured candles come straight from Washington. All candles are 100% natural soy, dye-free, and made with ingredients from the United States of America.

Jacquie Original

There’s no denying it, masks are here to stay for a while and my go-to mask is from Jacquie Original! The owner, Jacquie, is not only one of the kindest people I know, but one of the most talented and it shows through each and every one of her handsewn masks. Her high-quality masks and scrunchies are perfect for those who want something you can’t find anywhere else. These are in limited supply, so hurry before they run out!

little dot studio

I cannot get over these luggage tags from Little Dot Studio! They are so trendy and can make such a special gift for the frequent traveler in your life. Hannah and Roy are the duo behind Little Dot Studio, the Seattle-based small business. They, too, created their business after first making products for their friends and family. They also create home decor and wedding keepsakes. I truly haven’t seen anything like their luggage tags!

MAPOLOGIST

I love decorating my home with pictures from my travels and when I came upon Mapologist, I was hooked. The North Carolina shop designs modern maps for the home. For those who want a piece of their favorite travel destination, this is the perfect gift. Whether you want decor that reminds you of your first international vacation, a honeymoon spot, or the city you grew up in, Mapologist has you covered. Prints are of high quality and highly unique. I have no words for this shop! I am obsessed and want to decorate my whole house with them.

Are you planning on shopping this Small Business Saturday? If so, where at? With so many small businesses relying heavily on their sales this Saturday, I hope you choose to shop small. Happy shopping!

happy travels, liz stanford

This is a great guide! I love scented candles that remind me of places too! I have to be honest, I always try and shop small where I can but this year I have turned to Amazon more than I usually would due to convenience with lockdown. I’m definitely going to seek out more independent shops to support. Thanks for the reminder!

These are great gift options! I’ve heard of Mapiful, but not Mapologist before reading this post. I really like the way they look. They would be such a great gift!
