Is Disney Beach Club worth it with toddlers?
If you’re planning a trip to Disney World with toddlers, I’m going to hold your hand when I say this: where you stay matters more than almost anything else.
More than your rope drop strategy.
More than your Lightning Lane strategy.
Honestly, maybe even more than which parks you prioritize.
When you’re traveling with toddlers, convenience changes everything. Being able to get back quickly for naps, having easy food options nearby, minimizing transportation stress and staying somewhere that actually feels relaxing after a long park day can make or break your trip.
After staying at Disney Beach Club Villas with our two toddlers, I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions we made for our trip. If you want the full run down on why Disney Beach Club is actually worth it with toddlers or families with little kids, keep on reading!
DISNEY BEACH CLUB LOCATION
No Disney resort is perfect when it comes to transportation and Beach Club does have its own trade-offs. The biggest pro is the easy access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The biggest con? If your trip is heavily centered around Magic Kingdom, the Beach Club is not the most convenient option. You’ll be relying on buses for both Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.
However, the buses are totally manageable and for families wanting a balanced Disney trip, the Beach Club location is hard to beat. With Disney Beach Club you’ll be:
– About a 2-3-minute walk to Epcot
– About a 7 minute walk to Disney’s BoardWalk
– Walkable to Hollywood Studios (or an easy Skyliner / boat option )
– A quick bus ride to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, with the bus stop right outside the resort
When you’re navigating Disney with tired toddlers, shaving even 20–30 minutes off transportation time is huge. Being able to leave Epcot and be back in our room within minutes felt almost too good to be true. And when naps are non-negotiable, that kind of access matters.
OUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEACH CLUB
When it comes to Disney Beach Club, the price justifies what you get. Period. But, the pool? That was just the cherry on top for us. If your kids are anything like mine, it doesn’t matter where we are: Hawaii, Michigan, Lake Como. If they have a pool, my toddlers will be in it. And no pool is better than Storm Along Bay right at the Beach Club. Your toddlers will want to spend all day there and they even have a “beach” inside the pool.
RESTAURANTS AT THE BEACH CLUB
Another win for the Beach Club is the food. Convenience matters so much more with toddlers than I ever appreciated before becoming a parent. The Beach Club makes it easy being so close to so many good food options.
In total, Beach Club has 5 restaurants. Combine that with the 5 Yacht Club restaurants next door and all the Disney Boardwalk and EPCOT restaurants just a walk away, it’s unbeatable. Our favorite restaurants at Beach Club were Cape May character breakfast with Mickey’s friends all in beach outfits (a must if staying here!), Beaches and Cream soda shop and Ale & Compass (technically at Yacht Club right next store).
Would we go back to the Beach Club? Absolutely. If your priorities are convenience, walkability, pool time and making Disney feel less exhausting with little kids, I genuinely think it’s one of the best places you can stay.
